COCAFAL plays a vital role in improving the well-being of its represented communities, which currently includes 12 farming groups from San Pedro and Corquin. By investing in healthcare, education, and financial services, COCAFCAL works tirelessly to reduce poverty and enhance the quality of life for over 5,000 locals. The cooperative also fosters youth development through sports facilities and community programs.

With a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, COCAFCAL reinvests its earnings into local initiatives. Their efforts have led to significant reduction in litter and promotion of eco-friendly practices in the region. The cooperative’s fair trade premium is managed democratically by a General Assembly, composed predominantly of women, who ensure responsible practices align with Fairtrade, Organic, and Rainforest Alliance certifications.
