Description
Introducing the Inzovu blend, the hallmark of excellence that has garnered global acclaim for our sister company, Rwanda Trading Company (RTC), over the past decade.Â
This exceptional coffee is crafted from a carefully curated selection of beans sourced from the high-altitude hills of western and southern Rwanda.
The Inzovu blend captures the distinctive flavour profile unique to this remarkable terroir. At RTC, we receive parchment coffee from various washing stations, where our dedicated team meticulously cups and evaluates each lot to select those worthy of becoming part of our signature blend, evolving with each season.
As the harvest comes to an end, we sort and mill the coffee, separating the prized peaberries, known for their smaller size. These unique beans create a distinct lot, often showcasing a brighter acidity and a fuller mouthfeel, enhancing the character of the original blend.
Rwanda boasts the perfect conditions for coffee cultivation, with its high altitudes, consistent rainfall, nutrient-rich volcanic soils, and a rich abundance of Bourbon varieties.Â

The vast majority of coffee produced in Rwanda comes from smallholder farmers estimated to be around half a million who tend to small plots, frequently no larger than one hectare.
Coffee thrives across the country, particularly around Lake Kivu and the southern province, where smallholders come together to form cooperatives. They share resources, utilising centralised wet-mills, known locally as washing stations. Flowering occurs from September to October, leading to a harvest season that spans March through July, with shipments commencing from August to December.Experience the essence of Rwandan coffee in every cup with our Inzovu blend— where tradition meets excellence!
